Welcome to City of Plano Swimmers, Inc. (COPS). We have a rich history of developing high caliber competitive swimmers. We are dedicated to building well-rounded citizens for Collin County, as well as reaching all segments of the community so that we can betterserve people of all skills, abilities and age groups.
The City of Plano Swimmers, Inc. is a non-profit organization formed in 1971 and incorporated in September 1982 for the primary purpose of supporting aquatic programs and competitive swimming in our area.
The COPS swim team rents pool time from the City of Plano Parks and Recreation Department, but we are not affiliated or a part of theCity government. However, we do work closely with the City and the Plano ISD to coordinate common pool usage.
The goal of the City of Plano Swimmers is to provide opportunities for young people to develop socially and emotionally, to experience a wholesome and worthwhile physical and recreational outlet, to learn sportsmanship and be aware of team cooperation and to acquire skills to achieve personal and team goals and become contributing members of society.
Our employees are an integral part of the team and we are always looking for candidates with enthusiasm, dedication, loyalty, and swimming knowledge.

COPS is actively hiring enthusiastic people to serve as Lifeguards/Swim Instructors. The combined position allows us to be more flexible in our scheduling while offering an extremely competitive pay scale. This dual position will work shifts as a lifeguard or swim instructor. COPS can provide the necessary class to get certified as a lifeguard. If you have not previously worked as a lifeguard or instructor but have a competitive swimming background, please consider applying. We encourage Master Swimmers, YMCA swimmers, Summer League Swimmers, and facility lifeguards to consider applying for this job.
